Jashn for vendors
Vendor Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 23, 2026
This policy explains how Jashn handles information from event businesses and vendor teams that request, create, or manage a vendor presence on Jashn.
Overview
- We collect vendor business details, contact details, profile content, enquiry activity, and basic site usage information.
- We use vendor information to create listings, improve discovery, send customer enquiries, support vendors, prevent misuse, and operate Jashn.
- Some vendor listing information is public by design; private contact and account information is only shared where needed to run the service.
- Vendors can ask us to update, correct, or remove their information, subject to legal, security, and operational limits.
1. Information we collect from vendors
When you request or manage a Jashn vendor listing, we may collect your business name, category, city, service areas, photos, package details, pricing ranges, business description, contact person, phone or WhatsApp number, email address, and any other details you choose to provide.
If customers contact you through Jashn, we may collect enquiry details such as event type, date, city, budget range, message content, and the vendor or category the customer selected.
We may also collect technical information such as device type, browser, pages viewed, referral source, approximate location from IP address, and interactions that help us understand and improve the marketplace.
2. How we use vendor information
We use vendor information to create and display vendor profiles, route enquiries, help customers compare event businesses, verify listing quality, provide support, improve search and category pages, and communicate about onboarding or marketplace updates.
We may use aggregated or de-identified information to understand which cities, event types, and vendor categories need more coverage. This helps Jashn improve supply and customer experience without identifying a specific vendor unless needed.
3. What information is public
A vendor profile is intended to be visible to customers. Public profile information may include business name, city, category, services, photos, description, package information, ratings or reviews where available, and public-facing contact options you approve for display.
Please do not submit private documents, passwords, bank details, customer lists, or confidential pricing that you do not want Jashn to process.
4. Sharing and disclosure
We share information with customers when it is necessary to send an enquiry or help them evaluate your services. We may share customer enquiry details with the vendor selected by the customer.
We may also use trusted service providers for hosting, analytics, email, messaging, security, forms, storage, and operational support. These providers process information only to help Jashn run the service.
We may disclose information if required by law, to protect Jashn, users, vendors, or the public, or in connection with a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.
5. Communications
By submitting a vendor request, you allow Jashn to contact you about your listing, verification, customer enquiries, marketplace updates, and support. We may contact you by phone, WhatsApp, email, or another channel you provide.
You can ask us to stop non-essential marketing messages, but we may still send operational messages related to your listing, enquiries, safety, or account administration.
6. Retention
We keep vendor information for as long as needed to operate the marketplace, maintain accurate records, resolve disputes, improve listings, comply with legal obligations, and prevent fraud or misuse.
If you ask us to remove your listing, we will take reasonable steps to remove or de-publish public profile information, while retaining limited records where necessary for legal, security, or operational reasons.
7. Your choices and controls
You can request correction, update, de-publication, or deletion of vendor information by contacting Jashn. We may need to verify your relationship to the business before making account or listing changes.
You can also choose what public-facing contact information appears on your listing, subject to the minimum information needed for customers to reach you.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect vendor information. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so vendors should avoid sending sensitive information unless it is necessary for the service.
9. Children
Jashn vendor services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect vendor account information from children.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this vendor privacy policy as Jashn grows. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to make the updated policy available through the website.
11. Contact us
For privacy questions or vendor data requests, contact Jashn through the contact page or the vendor onboarding channel you used to reach us.
